Falling short of everything you ever thought you'd be
Losing hope in happy memories
Trapped in a life
You never thought would be yours
Left to exist in denial
Weeks come and go
Wishing you could be someone else
But your dead weight is pulling you apart
Sitting outside of everything
Waiting for a life to start
But these are your salad days
And they’re quickly rotting away
Scratching out an existence
Against the backdrop of a troubled life
Losing all your momentum
To the soundtrack of fluorescent lights
Just left screaming into open silence
Of “what could have been’s”
And “I wish I’d tried harder”
Longing to be someone else
Wishing to be someone else

I just picked Making Maps as my favorite because I had to pick A track. In reality, I have no idea what track is my favorite. This entire album is amazing. I was totally blown away when I heard it and I can't stop listening to it. Richard Spencer

I'm sorry I missed out on this band 'til now. Landscapes sound excellent, a must for any fan of UKHC in the first decade of the century. I'd put them on a playlist with early Gallows, Alexisonfire, Comeback Kid, Dead Swans, Lay It On The Line, Mercury League and HHH. Burning Flag Designs

There's a clear inheritance from bands like Saetia & Envy here, but Frameworks throws in a whole lot more: a blast beat here, a little ambient horn there. This is a very polished and evocative EP, the instant soundtrack to whatever time period in which you first discovered it. CX
